Every language is built around one essential element: THE VERB.
As a quick refresher, a verb is the word that expresses an action. For example: to talk, to walk, to work, to write and to learn.
Without verbs, communication simply isn't possible. Whether you want to ask for a drink, order food, book a hotel, negotiate a business deal, describe an experience, or talk about your plans, the first thing you need is the ability to express an action.
Think about everyday situations:

Verbs are the engine of communication. Everything else revolves around them.
The Verb-Centred Method™ teaches learners how the language works, not just what to say.
From the beginning, students learn how verbs change across different tenses and how those patterns combine with personal pronouns. Once they understand the structure of one verb, they can apply the same logic to hundreds of others.
Instead of memorising individual sentences, students learn the system that creates them.
This gives learners the confidence to construct their own sentences naturally, even when they have never heard that exact sentence before.
Many language courses introduce vocabulary and useful phrases from the very beginning. While this helps learners communicate in familiar situations, it often leaves them relying on memorised sentences.
For example, a student may learn how to say:
"I am hungry."
But when they want to say:
"I was hungry."
"I will be hungry."
"If I were hungry..."
They often have to learn each sentence separately because they haven't fully understood the verb system behind them.
The result is that learners can remember phrases, but struggle to build new sentences independently.

Grammar is often presented as a complicated collection of rules to memorise and, as a result, many learners are taught to fear it. But grammar is not the enemy. When it is taught clearly and logically, it becomes the key to understanding how a language works.

One of the questions we're asked most often is:
"How long will it take me to become fluent?"
Yes, that is right. Every learner is different. Factors such as previous language experience, motivation and the amount of practice outside the classroom all play an important role.
However, thanks to the structured nature of the Verb-Centred Method™, we can provide realistic estimates based on the progress achieved by many of our students.
We believe that a complete beginner who attends 20 hours of tuition (delivered over 10 weeks, with two one-hour lessons per week) and completes approximately two hours of independent study each week can achieve a strong intermediate level of proficiency (around CEFR B1/B2).
40 hours to get to an advanced level?!?!
By continuing with the same structured approach, approximately 40 hours of tuition can enable many learners to reach an advanced level of proficiency (around CEFR C1), giving them the confidence to communicate naturally in everyday, academic and professional situations.
